Years ago my sister Jill gave us a bunch of toys her daughter Jessica had grown out of, including this dollhouse, furniture, and people.
Today I'd like to say thank you to Jill and Jessica for giving me hours of free time while this little girl played up in the loft.

At the kids' school, they give "Bear Paws" for good behavior. The students can turn their bear paws in to their teachers for prizes or special privileges. Every once in a while, they have a sort of school-wide raffle with the bear paws. In first grade, Sydney saw the prizes in the display case at school and was determined to win the 3D sidewalk chalk. She put all of her hard-earned bear paws toward the chalk. She was so excited the morning of the raffle drawing. I remember trying to prepare her for the possibility of not winning. Imagine my relief and joy when I picked her up after school, 3D sidewalk chalk in hand.
