Oh, Shelbi. Thirteen already.

We've definitely already had some teenage moments.  But this is one extraordinary girl.

October 21, 2014

It's a good day when these semis carrying windmill blades pass us on the road.  This picture doesn't do them justice.  They are massive.  It's about Bailey's favorite thing.

It's good of Best Buy to play Finding Nemo to entertain a three-year-old whose father won't stop looking at speakers.

The kids came up with a very strange game tonight.  They tossed a whoopee cushion to each other, and when someone failed to catch it, that person had to sit on it.

Bailey's little buns had to work a bit harder to deflate it.

Disaster struck later when the whoopee cushion popped, due to a thin spot in the rubber.  There were many tears.

I really like it when Jeff's home to do the haircuts.  The sideburns actually come out even.

Tonight.

Halloween 2000
The scrubs and gash on my forehead were my costume for work.  The ladybug was my niece's costume.  The teeth?   I don't know...

October 15, 2014

Happy birthday to my dad, a peek-a-boo playing, dish doing, grandkids loving cowboy.

October 14, 2014

We didn't see this movie.  We saw Meet the Mormons.  The poster for that movie was too dark for a picture.  Technically there are Mormons in this picture, right?

October 13, 2014

Ahh, two super happy cousins on Bailey's blessing day.

October 12, 2014

This game of Tornado was a perfect Sunday afternoon activity.  The kids would run from the patio to the fence, saving each other from the storm.  It was even windy.  Jeff may not have liked this outside game as much as I did.  He was trying to sleep off a night shift, and our windows just don't insulate against the sound that well.

October 11, 2014

That time when we saw the mummy at the children's museum and my kids had to pretend to be mummies too...

 Where are their shoes??

October 10, 2014

My phone is packed with pictures such as these.  A problem moms with 35mm cameras never had.

October 9, 2014

I took this picture for Jeff.  We have a running joke about the traffic in Amarillo.  When we were here to interview for Jeff's job, many people cited the lack of traffic as a selling point for Amarillo.  Yet this is what I seem to see everywhere I go.  Maybe they don't know the definition of traffic.

I found this picture on my phone.  It actually happened a couple of weeks ago.  Bailey has tagged along on countless dentist trips with Syd and Shelbi.  She was thrilled to find out that she gets to be the patient.  For a week before her appointment she'd ask me how many more days?  Can you tell she's taking her patient responsibilities very seriously??

October 7, 2014

I'm a huge fan of Bailey's drawings.  They usually feature people with bubble limbs and big smiley faces, and "writing" that consists of Bs, Os, and Ps.  I asked her to tell me about this picture.  It's Jeff and me in the bed, Bailey standing next to it.  She's asking for breakfast and I'm telling her a few more minutes.  She gets her inspiration for her art from her personal experiences.

October 6, 2014

Bailey set the table this evening and apparently invited an extra guest.

October 5, 2014

It's strange how much pride I take in a pretty pie.  Embarrassing, really.

October 4, 2014

A perfect night for eating dinner outside.  The weather was warm, not hot, and there was hardly a breeze.  Too late in the season to be bothered by flies.  Although not too late for mosquitoes.

Living the good life.

September 28, 2014

We played a hot game of Sunday night Yahtzee tonight.  Bailey legitimately won the game.  She was the only one to get Yahtzee.

September 25, 2014

Not technically a photo from today.  I wish I was in the same town today as my mom to take a picture of her on her birthday, but she's hundreds of miles away.  Happy birthday to her.

September 22, 2014

These little Frozen figurines may have been the best $14 I ever spent.  Bailey pretends with them all the time.  Usually she'll build Elsa's ice palace out of blocks, but today she decided the top our my bed works just as well.

September 18, 2014

I swear I didn't prompt her to pose like this.

September 13, 2014

So, I'm about to break the rules.  My blog, my rules, right?  As you can see, I'm terribly behind on posting.  I haven't nearly kept up with taking pictures everyday.  So I'm just going to post for the days that I do have pictures for, and we'll call it good.  I don't want to worry about finding photos from my archives, just to satisfy my goal of a picture a day.  I don't have that many interesting pictures, anyway.
