I didn't take this picture with the intention of posting it. I was at Hobby Lobby and noticed the swarms of teenagers and their parents buying supplies to make their mums for homecoming. I took the picture to send to Jeff. We still just don't get it.
We had our home teacher's family over Saturday night for a BBQ, and when I told the wife that we'd never seen mums until we moved here, she was BLOWN AWAY. They are so engrained in Texas culture, I might as well have told her we'd never seen cars before, or heard of football. She also gave us several mum-making tips, should we ever need them--the most important being: the bigger the better.
