We spent two nights at Great Wolf Lodge, and many hours in the water park.
Another cool thing this hotel has is "Magiquest." It's like a scavenger hunt through the hotel. The kids start at these trees where the wizard gives them their clues. Then they go off through different wings in the hotel with their wands and have to solve riddles and collect tokens to help them slay the dragon at the end. It's all done electronically through the wands. The boys were really into it; the girls lost interest.
Bailey couldn't keep up with the kids running from floor to floor to find clues, so she and I sat in a hallway and watched the many hotel guest playing the game. Magiquest is intended as a kids' game, but I'd say 25% of the people playing were the parents, dragging their exhausted kids along. Some people took it very seriously, living their Harry Potter dreams.
Free wolves' ears for all kids.
Someone definitely did their research finding a kid-friendly hotel...
