No leprechauns visited today. No hidden pots of gold, or special treats for the kids. I can't believe how crazy some people get about celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Does it really need to be celebrated? We wore green and had green pancakes because we had no other food in the house after being gone all week. The end.
Amen! I had a few facebook friends post about the crazy leprchauns messing up their houses and leaving boatloads of presents for the kids. Come on now.
ReplyDeleteReally? St. Patrick's Day is a thing now? One thing I loved about Germany was the utter lack of pseudo-holidays. No St. Paddy's, Valentines, or Halloween unless we went looking (hard) for it. Of course, occasionally we'd get surprised by some random Catholic holiday that I had no idea about, but that just meant no school so we could sleep in. No complaints.
